OLD FASHIONED RICE PUDDING
1 quart milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup rice, uncooked
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
Combine all ingredients. Place in a well buttered baking dish and place baking dish in pan of hot water.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for 2 to 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes for the first 2 hours. Bake until rice is soft.
