Recipe: Peanut Butter Krispy Cocoa Chewies

PEANUT BUTTER KRISPY COCOA CHEWIES

4 cups Cocoa Krispies
3/4 cup dried cherries
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter

In large bowl, combine Cocoa Krispies and cherries.

In small saucepan, combine brown sugar and corn syrup and bring to a boil. Boil 1 minute, then turn off heat.

Stir in peanut butter. Pour it over cereal and cherries, stirring immediately to combine and coat.

Press into buttered 8-by-8-inch pan and let cool to set (about 15 minutes). Store at room temperature.

WHEN READY TO SERVE:
Cut into 2-inch squares, then cut squares on the diagonal into triangles. Allot 2 triangles per serving, leaning one on the other.

Makes about 32 Chewies
