Recipe: Pepperoni Pizza Loaf (bread machine)

PEPPERONI PIZZA LOAF

"This bread is delicious when used to make grilled cheese sandwiches. Try it with pimento cheese, too."

FOR A 1 1/2-POUND LOAF:
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup finely chopped pepperoni
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking oil
1 tablespoon tomato paste
3 cups bread flour
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon fennel seed, crushed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon active dry yeast or bread machine yeast

FOR A 2-POUND LOAF:
1 cup water
3/4 cup finely chopped pepperoni
2/3 cup chopped green pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil or cooking oil
2 tablespoon tomato paste
4 cups bread flour
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons fennel seed, crushed
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast or bread machine yeast

Select the loaf size. Add the ingredients to the machine according to manufacturer's directions. Select the basic white bread cycle.

Store finished bread in the refrigerator.
