Recipe(tried): Potate pie

I am not sure how many pounds of potatoes you would but, but I would allow 1/2 to one per person, depending on the size, say about 30 medium potatoes.

You could make potatoe pie prior to the dinner.

Cook the potatoes in boiling water until soft. Mash the potatoes and add some butter, ground black pepper and milk or cream to make a creamy mashed potatoe.

grease a casseerole dish or large pie plate (you may need several for this amount of people) scrape a fork over the top to make a pattern and dot the top with butter. Bake this in a moderate oven and the top will form a brown crust. You could serve this cut into squares.

If you are not sure how this will turn out,or not sure if you like the idea, try it with a couple of potatoes first.
