Recipe: Quick Beer-Wheat Bread (using biscuit mix, 1980's)

3 cups packaged biscuit mix (like Bisquick)
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 (12 ounce) can beer (1 1/2 cups)

In a mixing bowl combine the biscuit mix, whole wheat flour, and sugar. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Add the eggs and beer all at once to the dry ingredients, stirring just till well combined. Spoon into a greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan, spreading evenly.

Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 50 to 60 minutes or til! done. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool on a wire rack.

Makes 1 (9x5-inch) loaf
