Recipe(tried): Rice Krispie Treats

Misc.
We were eating these before I'd ever heard of the marshmallow kind:

Scotcheroos

1 cup corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips

Combine corn syrup and sugar in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter. When all is blended, pour over Rice Krispies and stir to coat all. Press into a greased 9x13 pan. Melt together the two kinds of chips and spread evenly over the Rice Krispie mixture. Cool at room temperature. Yummy.
