Recipe: Shrimp Dip (using cream cheese and cocktail sauce) (repost)

SHRIMP DIP

1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 (10-12 oz) jar cocktail sauce
1 lb baby shrimp

Mix cream cheese and cocktail sauce well and form into a ball. Lay shrimp on top and serve with crackers.

Hi Pat,

There are a few versions of this recipe. You don't have to form this into a ball, you can mix the shrimp into the cream cheese mixture and serve in a bowl. Another version is to spread the cream cheese on a plate, pour on the cocktail sauce, and top with the shrimp (a popular variation of this uses a can of crabmeat instead of the shrimp).
