Recipe: Fruity Cheese Spread (Jell-O gelatin recipe)

FRUITY CHEESE SPREAD

2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 (4-serving size) package JELL-O Brand Gelatin, any flavor
1/4 cup chopped pecans (for garnish)
Assorted fresh fruit, cookies and crackers* (for serving)

Beat cream cheese in large bowl until smooth. Beat in gelatin until well blended.

Form mixture into 5-inch round. Cover with plastic wrap. Chill about 1 hour.

TO SERVE:
Remove plastic wrap. Press pecans gently around edges of cheese round. Serve with fruit, cookies and crackers.

TO MAKE AHEAD:
Cheese round may be made 2 days ahead and refrigerated; let stand at room temperature 15 minutes before serving.

*We suggest sliced apples or pears, grapes and strawberries.
