Recipe: Spicy Pecans

Misc.

Spicy Pecans

1 pound pecan halves

4 tablespoons butter

1-2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, or to taste

1 teaspoon lemon juice

teaspoon cayenne pepper or to taste

2 teaspoons salt, or to taste

Preheat oven to 200 . Place pecans on a jelly roll pan. Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and add Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and cayenne pepper. Mix well and pour over pecans, stirring to coat all sides, and arrange in single layer in pan.

Place in oven and bake for 45 to 60 minutes or until pecans become toasty and brown. Stir occasionally while cooking. Remove from oven and sprinkle with salt to taste, stirring to coat all sides.

Cool completely and store in airtight container for giving. For storage longer than a couple of weeks, place in freezer containers and freeze.
