Recipe: Lemon Julius (smoothies using apple juice concentrate, blender)
BeveragesLEMON JULIUS
1 1/2 cups soy milk
1 cup apple juice concentrate
1 small lemon, peeled and seeded
1/2" slice tofu (optional)
20 ice cubes
Add one or two of the following per serving (optional):
1/2 tablespoon rice protein powder
1 1/2 teaspoons flaxseed oil
1/4 teaspoon acidophilus powder
1/8 teaspoon vitamin C powder
Place soy milk (or your choice of any other milk or non-dairy substitute) and all remaining ingredients in blender in order given. (If adding protein powder, add first and blend with liquid.)
Blend until smooth and creamy. For thickest smoothies, keep blending time to a minimum.
Makes 4 1/2 cups (serves 3, serving size 12 oz.)
