Recipe: Strawberry-Rhubarb Pastry

Or.... is this close? oops I see it does not
call for fresh strawberries, but you certainly
could add them.
_____________________________________Strawberry Rhubarb Pastry

Recipe serves 12.

4 cups rhubarb, sliced
2 3 oz. packages strawberry jello,
2 cups flour
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine or butter

Combine 2 cups flour, salt, and baking
powder. Cut in 1/3 cup butter. Stir in
milk and eggs. Press mixture into a
9x13x2 inch pan.

Mix together dry jello and rhubarb.
Spread over crust.

Mix together 1/4 cup flour, sugar, and
1/4 cup butter until crumbly. Sprinkle
crumb mixture over rhubarb. Bake at 375 degrees
for about 50-55 minutes or until done.

Cut into squares and serve with vanilla ice cream.
