Recipe: Toasted Chili Pecans (using Kahlua)
Appetizers and SnacksTOASTED CHILI PECANS
4 cups pecan halves (one pound)
3 tablespoons Kahlua
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup chili powder
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Toss pecan halves, Kahlua, and vegetable oil until well-coated. Add chili powder, sugar, salt, and red pepper. Toss well.
Bake 25 minutes at 300 degree F turning frequently. Loosen nuts with spatula and cool in pan on rack.
