Recipe: Turkey Cheese Ball (food processor)

TURKEY CHEESE BALL

1 1/2 cups finely chopped cooked turkey
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
1/4 cup dry onion soup mix
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon tarragon
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon thyme
8 ounces low-fat cream cheese
1/4 cup light mayonnaise
1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
Dash Tabasco sauce
additional chopped fresh parsley and chopped nuts (optional garnish)
crackers and apple wedges (for serving)

In a food processor, blend turkey with nuts, onion soup mix, garlic powder, tarragon, pepper, and thyme.

Add cream cheese, mayonnaise, parsley, and Tabasco sauce. Combine mixture with help of a spatula. Place on waxed paper and refrigerate 1-2 hours.

When firm, shape into a ball and roll in more chopped parsley and nuts if desired.

Serve with crackers and apple wedges.

Makes 2 Cups
