Recipe: Sticky Bun Dip (cream cheese and caramel layers)

"This delectable dip is like combining cream cheese icing with hot caramel to make a luscious dip."
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon Durkee 100% Pure Vanilla Extract
1/4 cup butter (no substitutes)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup Karo Corn Syrup (light or dark)
1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
Apple or pear slices, graham crackers or vanilla wafers (for dipping)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla in a bowl with hand mixer until smooth and creamy. Spread in 8x8-inch baking dish or 1-quart casserole; set aside.
Combine butter, brown sugar and corn syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until butter is melted. Continue stirring until mixture comes to a boil; boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in pecans. Pour caramel over cream cheese layer.
Bake for 20 minutes until caramel is bubbly. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes.
Serve with apple or pear slices, graham crackers or vanilla wafers for dipping.
