Recipe: Watergate Cookies and Pistachio Party Cookies

Watergate Cookies

1 box white cake mix
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs
1/2 c. coconut
1 box instant pistachio pudding
3 Tbsp. 7-Up
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix together thoroughly. Drop by rounded teaspoons about 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

Pistachio Party Cookies

1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. oil
1 tsp. almond
2 drops green food coloring
2 eggs
1 box pistachio pudding mix
2 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. pecans, chopped

Combine margarine, powdered sugar, oil, almond and green food coloring; mix well. Add eggs and pistachio pudding mix. Add flour, soda, cream of tartar, salt and pecans. Chill dough. Form into 1-inch balls. Roll in sugar. Place 2-inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Yield: about 4 1/2 dozen.
