ISO: BH&G candy recipe

Misc.
A number of years ago ... more than I care to think about ... BH&G (Better Homes and Gardens) came out with a fairly simple, very decadent layered candy. Every time I made it my family and friends would comment on how good it was, but I never gave out the recipe ... there in lies the crux of my problem. Our house burned down 2 years ago and I lost all my recipe cards and cookbooks, most I was able to retrieve from my friends, just not this one. We're having Xmas in our new house this year and I will be expected to make this candy but I don't remember certain parts of the recipe and I'm hoping someone out there has this one ... Here's what I remember :

12 oz each semi-sweet chocolate and butterscotch morsels
2 oz baker's chocolate
1/2 cup creamy-style peanut butter
1/2 cup chopped peanuts.
Melt all these in the top of a double boiler until smooth, blended and creamy. Pour half the mixture onto a buttered jellyroll pan and set the remainder aside.

NOW here's where I get fuzzy:
1/2 package cook-type vanilla pudding mix (just the dry mix)
1 lb. powdered sugar
(?? amount) evaporated milk
(?? amount) butter or margarine.

Melt butter into milk and pour into a large mixing bowl; make sure mixture is cooled and add pudding mix. Slowly add powdered sugar while mixing ingredients thoroughly between each addition until the entire pound of sugar has been incorporated into the nugget. Evenly spread nugget over the chocolate in jellyroll pan and top with the remaing chocolate mixture.

As you can see I need the amounts of 2 crucial ingredients; the butter and the milk. Can anyone out there help me? If you can please email me at kitteniiiz@aol.com. Also please let me know if I have any of the other ingredients or amounts wrong.

Thank you for your help,

Kat
