ISO: Connecticut Beef Casserole

Misc.
Years ago I had a Betty Crocker recipe card file; this recipe was in it . I gave the file to my son who loves to cook; unfortunately minus this recipe which he specifically wanted!
It contains cubed beef & 1 cup of onions simmerd for 1hour til tender. sliced potatoes, cheese and I don't remember the order of it after simmering the beef & onions and I feel like I'm missing a step or ingrediant. I'd appreciate any help, THANX PJ
