ISO: crabapple butter recipe

Kas, Please share your recipe for using the crabapples to make apple butter, after having used their juice for jelly.

I, too, believe in using all parts in all possible ways. I guess it is from being raised by my grandmother who always used to tell me stories about living through the Depression and WWII. And my other grandmother who lived on a large farm, where nothing went to waste.
