ISO: Cream of Cabbage Soup

While in Illinois on vacation I went to an Antique Mall that had a tiny cafe inside. They had Cream of Cabbage Soup on the menu. I tried and it was wonderful. When I asked if they would share their recipe I was told NO! Does anyone happen to know of this recipe? Thanks MW
