ISO: green tomato kraut

I am not sure how this is made I know tajes green tomates and cabbage, onions and vinegar.
a freind of mine ask me if I knew how to make it ...she couldn't remember how it was made, but she likies it and hasn't had any since she was a young lady.
Thank you for all the good recipes I have found on here ......there are some good cooks.
