ISO: hard chocolate icing

Have you by any chance gotten an answer to this question about hard icing? My great-grandmother used to make the same thing, and now I want to make it for my wedding, but the recipe is gone with the wind! I can't find anything on the Web, either. The "hard shell" recipe that was mentioned in a reply doesn't sound like the right thing...
