ISO: Hard Jelly Cake

I am looking for a recipe my Granny made when I was a child.
It is thin layers of pastry with jelly spread in between. She would make it about 6 weeks before Christmas and then it would sit in a cold area until Christmas. There were probably 20 layers of pastry and she would use homemade jelly.
