ISO: Old Fashioned Italian Cookies

COOKIES - My husband always talks about the cookies his mother used to make for Christmas. They were mostly made by those of Italian heritage and I wish I had asked for her recipes before she passed. One is for a roll-up type cookie that contained nuts and fruit. another was a wine-dipped type of pastry cookie and another was made with anchovies? If anyone knows what I'm decribing and have these cookie recipes, I would really appreciate having them. Thank you.
