ISO: Party Cake from McCall's magazine

Misc.

Party Cake, a FABULOUS cake from McCall's magazine my aging mom remembers from late 40s or early 50s. It contains many(probably a dozen)eggs. She remembers beating it until her"... arms nearly dropped off." It is not an angel food cake. I'd love to surprise her with the recipe. Please share anything you might have that fits this minimal description. Thanks!
