ISO: Peanut Brittle/Crackle/Brickle

Misc.
I am looking for a recipe for a peanut brittle that my family used to call Peanut Crackle or Brickle. This was just like peanut brittle but it was thicker and more "fluffy". It still had a crunchy texture but was more airy. I am having a hard time describing it. When you look at a cross section of it, it wasnt glossy, but looked more the texture of a flat sponge. I repeat, it was crunchy like peanut brittle but was not so hard to bite into.
Anyone remotely understand and remember such a treat? It was sometimes made with pecans as well. Thanks so much!!!
