ISO: No, I dont think this is it but thanks!

Thanks so much for trying but almost all peanut brittle has baking soda in it, even the very hardest of them all. So I dont think that the soda has anything to do with it being a bit softer and less glossy that typical brittle. Recipe sounds great though!
