The crab doesn't have to be thawed out. Once your water is boiling
put in as many legs as will comfortably fit in the pot. You don't have
to break them up into sections. We boil king crab for 20 minutes (thawed or frozen). If you don't have a pot big enough, you could break the legs up below the largest (or top) section. We sometimes put
crab/shrimp boil in the water and/or lemons. Garlic butter is our favorite dip accompanied by plenty of lemon. Another good dip is soy sauce with some rice vinegar and minced garlic. The leftover crab is excellent in a salad, sushi (california roll) or mixed with cream cheese, green onion and a bit of soy, etc., and used as the stuffing for crab rangoon.
