ISO: Recipe for Grandmother's Rice Pudding

Misc.
My grandmother used to make a rice pudding that formed a thick custard layer on top. I remember that she first cooked the ingredients on top of the stove and then baked the pudding in order to form a thicker rice layer on the bottom topped with a thick custard layer. Unfortunately, with the passing of MomMom the family lost her recipe. Any help would be so appreciated. Thank you in advance.
