ISO: shortcake recipe

Misc.

Last year I attended the Iowa State Fair and tasted the best strawberry shortcake I've ever eaten in my life. What made it so good was the shortcake.
The buscuit seemed to have cream cheese or, possibly, sour cream in it. It had a very tender texture and just melted in the mouth. I've tried to duplicate it, but haven't been very lucky. Can anyone help?
