ISO: Trick for boiled eggs

Help! I moved to central Mexico 2 years ago and I have not been able to boil an egg with out having trouble getting the shell off. Are the eggs too fresh? Or could it be altitude(over a mile?) I need a trick to get a nice egg to devil. Thanks!
