ISO: Tunnel of fudge cake without nuts?

Misc.
Is it possible to make the Tunnel of Fudge cake without nuts? I don't think the cake mix had nuts, but I've seen recipes that say you must put the nuts in to make it work.

My son doesn't like nuts in cakes, but I'd love to make the Tunnel of Fudge cake for his birthday.

Thanks!
