Makes 1 (9x13-inch) cake

1 (18.25 ounce) box orange cake mix
2 (3 ounce) packages orange Jell-O
1 (3 ounce) package vanilla instant pudding
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (8 ounce) container non-dairy
whipped topping

Bake cake as directed in a 9x13-inch pan. When done, use a meat fork to poke holes across the top of the entire cake. Let cool.

Note: If you can not find an orange cake mix, use a package of lemon cake mix and add 1 small envelope of orange drink mix (Kool Aid) to the batter.

In bowl, mix 1 box of the Jell-O with 1 cup hot water and 1 cup cold water. Pour over top of cake. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.

Mix remaining box of Jell-O, pudding, milk, and vanilla together. Beat well. Fold dessert topping into this mixture and spread on top of cake. Keep refrigerated.

I would use thawed frozen topping and fold it into the prepared pudding. At first, fold in about 1/3 of the topping. When it has lightened up the pudding sufficiently, add the rest of the topping, folding gently so as not to deflate the mixture. I would start with a small tub of topping, about 8 ounces.

The recipe for using Dream Whip in a frosting is on the side of the Dream Whip box. I used it about a week ago, and everybody loved it. I used instant chocolate pudding, Dream Whip, and milk as directed on the box. I hope this is what you are looking for!
