Recipe: Outback Steakhouse Potato Soup |

OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE POTATO SOUP 5 or 6 large potatoes 1 can evaporated milk (12 ounce can) 1 pound Velveeta Cheese, cubed salt to taste pepper to taste garlic to taste GARNISH: Sour cream Bacon bits Shredded cheese Green onion tops Wash, peel, cut potatoes in small pieces. In medium sized pot, barely cover with water, boil until cooked but still firm. Add milk and cheese. Cook on low stirring constantly until cheese melts. Do not boil. Ladle into serving bowls and add toppings of sour cream, bacon bits, shredded cheese and green onion tops. |

You forgot the onion and there is no sour cream garnish. The garnish is just bacon, cheese, and chives. |

The recipe for Outback Potato soup is: Potatoes, diced, boiled and drained; save till the end In large pot combine: 4 cans chicken broth 2 cups water 1 onion, diced Salt and pepper Dash basil..i omit Dash sugar..i omit Bring above to a boil. Melt together: 2 sticks (1 cup) butter 3/4 cup flour Add to pot slowly, while stirring. Add the prepared potatoes. Add slowly to thicken: Approximately 1 1/2 cups heavy cream Garnish with: Chopped fried bacon Chopped chives Grated Monteray jack and cheddar cheese I know this recipe because I worked there for many many years. |

Just got finished making this and it is GREAT! I did however only use one stick of butter and added chopped fresh chives at the very end. Makes my taste buds think a steak is on the way! LOL |

The easiest way to do the Outback Macaroon N' Cheese is by using Velveeta cheese and melting it with a little butter/margarine and milk over the famous Penne Rigate noodles. It tastes AND LOOKS exactly the same. Hope this helps! |
