Accepting all BBQ Pork Rib tips!

I have precooked ribs before I BBQ'd, but I just read a recipe where they recommended precooking in the microwave. I will be having tons of people over for the 4th and had planned on pork ribs. Has anyone done this before? I feel like Im cheating to use the microwave! LOL All I know is that the pressure is on and these ribs have got to be great! Thanks for you help!
