Hi Betsy and Manyhats,

Thanks for posting that tidbit Betsy. Gotta try that next time I am entertaining....

This bacon and date recipe, if you want to call it that, has been in out family since who knows when. When I questioned my Mom about its origins, she told me that it is a simple easy appetizer served in Cuba in the old days.

All I know is that when I make it, it goes pretty quick and guests can't believe what they are eating. I usually make extra because of its popularity.
