Dottie/MD Re: Filling for Pinwheel Cookies

Hi Dottie:-) I have some suggestions for the filling for your pinwheel cookies. A company by the name of Solo makes fillings such as almond and apricot, and probably prune. I haven't personally tried any of them but I can find them in the bakery aisle at my grocery store here in MA. You might try one of these fillings and see if you like it. Another suggestion might be the Nonesuch mincemeat filling (if you like mincemeat) that comes in a jar, also in the bakery aisle. I could also post the recipes for fillings, which I have not tried, for "Filled Turnovers" that I found in my Betty Crocker cookbook if you would like them. The recipes are for lemon, cherry, pineapple, date, fig, raisin or prune fillings. Just let me know if you would like me to post them. I see no reason why you couldn't try using your favorite jams or jellies as well.
