Recipe: Giant Chicken Pie (using frozen spinach souffle) (Bisquick recipe, 1985)

1 1/2 cups diced cooked chicken
1/4 cup chopped celery
1 (4 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of celery soup
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/3 cup sliced water chestnuts
1 (12 oz.) box frozen spinach souffle, thawed
1 1/4 cups Bisquick Baking Mix
1/3 cup milk
Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease rectangular baking dish, 11x7x 1 1/2-inches.
Combine chicken, celery, mushrooms, pepper, onion, cheese and both soups. Add water chestnuts; pour into baking dish. Top with spinach souffle.
Combine Bisquick and milk to form dough; beat 30 seconds. Knead on Bisquick-dusted surface 10 times. Roll into rectangle, 11x7-inches. Place on top of spinach souffle. Make several slits in dough.
Bake until light brown, 25-30 minutes.
Makes 8 servings
