Fried Orange Peel

Misc.
Manyhats,

Well, I was wrong. I translated it literally. So I called my mom and got the right translation of this. She told me that this is a very old recipe.

What this means is "candied orange peel" or she said you could
just use orange or lemon zest shavings. In the old days, oranges were hard get or keep so they candied the peels in sugar. I've never tried it with the candied orange peel but I bet it would be good. You could also just use a teaspoon of orange juice for flavor if you don't like the "bits".

I used neither and it tasted good to me.

Let me know how it comes out. I am still working out the kinks with this old recipe. They tended to leave out a lot of the details (and assumed you knew them LOL) - just like mom.
