In the meantine (re: yogurt making)

Misc.
I found my Salton yogurt maker, complete with six jars & lids, at a thrift store for $3. I've since redonated it. I've discovered it's just as easy to pour the mixture directly into a quart canning jar and wrap a heating pad set on low around it, with a towel around that. Let set overnight. No more messing with little glass jars (don't want the kids messing with them anyway). I have also seen many many incomplete yogurt makers sets, so you could proabably find enough jars one at a time to complete your set, though the lids are harder to come by. Good Luck, and try the heating pad, in the meantime.
