Instant Bacon

Since I am a single-person household, I find it hard to use up a pound of bacon before it spoils. I now cook up each pound as soon as I buy it --cooking in the usual way, but ALMOST, NOT QUITE to the "done-ness" I prefer, then freeze the strips after draining. When I need it, I remove the number of strips I want, then microwave for up to a minute on paper towel.
I do not like regularly microwaved bacon very much and think freezing raw bacon diminishes the quality, so my method works well for me, and should work for any size family.
