Italian Knot Cookie

I am looking for a recipe for a very basic,light pastry cookie that looks like a knot that has been sprinkled with confectioners' sugar. My aunt used to make them, she is now gone, and none of us can locate the recipe. We just called them "Those Knot Cookies!" Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks!
