Joyce: re Deni combo cooker

Misc.

Hi Joyce:

I read your message about the Deni Combo Cooker yesterday but thought I'd wait
until I saw what others might contribute before I wrote.

I saw the Deni presented on QVC and HAD TO HAVE ONE so I ordered it. I hate it
when I do that. I am very embarrased to tell you that I still haven't used it
and I've had it several months. After I got it I realized I really don't need a
crockpot (already have 3, in different sizes), I don't need a deep fryer (only
fried food I actually cook is onion rings occasionally and I have a great pan
for that), and I don't use a rice steamer (simple saucepan on top of stove
works great for me). The thing I don't like about it as a crockpot is that it
is metal and I prefer the "crockery" type. However, I refuse to shuffle this
over to my "appliance cemetary" without at least trying it, and I'm hoping it
may be useful this summer as it won't create much heat in the kitchen.

Sorry I can't be more helpful at this time, but after I use it I'll be glad to
let you know what I think - hated to see you not get any response to your
request. You've kind of renewed my interest - maybe I'll haul it out in the
next week or so. If you get one and try it, let me know what you think of it.
The concept is great. Gee, maybe I will try steaming rice for a change.
Mmmmm...onion rings...roast beef. It's all coming back to me why I ordered
it...
