Julie, another idea about frosting

I don't know if you are able to find oleo there or not, but I always use 1/2 shortening and 1/2 oleo (margarine) in my frostings. I add butter flavoring in addition to vanilla, almond, or any other flavorings. I think this cuts the shortening and oleo taste. Hope this helps.
