Liquid Smoke

I didn;t know what liquid smoke was until a friend actually mailed me a bottle!

It is a fantastic way to add a nice smoky flavour to any dish. I usually put a
drop into naked bean dishes or barbecue dishes. You can use it in a marinade
also. Not awful sure about beef jerky though...It is a very dark brown thin
liquid, the colour of vegemite actually but a lot thinner.

Have a search online for companies the mail order american foods - there are
some out there I know. If not, be nice to an American like I was! *grin*

Right, I just got my bottle. It is made by a compnay called Wright.
Mine is Wright's Concentrated All Natural Hickory Seasoning Liquid Smoke. phew!
Their address for recipes is WRIGHT's Recipes, PO Box K, Roseland, NJ 07068.
