My best places to find jars:

Misc.

I too am a Classico spaghetti sauce jar user, I love the 26 oz. size. I just process as for a full quart but the 26 oz. size is the perfect size for my husband and I. I also sent a bunch to a man at church, he makes chow chow and sells it, mostly to the church family (it is wonderful!). He also used these jars for sausage this year but he won't share that with me. There are several new brands of spaghetti sauce out now that are in regular canning jars. Just use new regular seals and rings.

I talked with my local Wal-Mart just a month or so ago about canning jars. The department head told me this is an orderable item and she is trying to convince their management that she needs a year-round section. While we have three seasons, they are not so severe that someone is not putting something up almost year round. If there isn't any fresh produce to put up, we can always make jellies and jams from the freezer!

Most of our grocery stores, especially the larger ones, have a small section of canning materials year-round also. We also have hardware stores that usually have jars on hand year-round.

My best place to find jars has been Big Lots, a clearance/salvage type store in our area. I don't know how widespread they are but I love to go there just to see what they have this day.
