Label removal

Misc.

Frankly,Joy, I don't bother when using them for my personal use. After all, green beans certainly don't look like spaghetti sauce. If I plan to use the canned products for gifts or the jars for gift containers or crafts, I soak the jars in hot, soapy water for about 15-20 minutes and then pull off the labels. The residue from the glue will usually scrub off. Sometimes, it may take another soak to work all of the glue residue off. A steel wool pad would probably make a clean job of it the first time.
