Omelets, presentation and clean-up

Misc.

I taught Girl Scouts to cook years ago. I think you are very brave to attempt it! If the girls have limited cooking experience, I would stick to very basics. How about omelets and toast with juice and coffee? They could make plain cheese omelets or get fancy with added ingredients or sauce.

I think the most important part would be the presentation: the good china, flowers (fresh, silk or hand-made paper), a table cloth and an excellent attitude of loving care while serving. (My daughter is now a teenager and I dream about a good attitude a lot lately. She used to have one.)

Another important thing is to clean up the kitchen and dishes, cheerfully. It is not much fun to have a really nice breakfast only to find that you have to clean up after it, especially after a novice cook has used everything in the kitchen! The omelets would have another advantage there too, very few dishes to dirty.
