Recipe: Spooky Spider Web Cupcakes (using cake mix)

SPOOKY SPIDER WEB CUPCAKES



Reynolds Halloween Baking Cups
1 (18 1/2 oz.) package cake mix
1 (16 oz.) container vanilla frosting
Chocolate frosting or melted chocolate chips
String licorice
Large gum drops

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place 24 Reynolds Halloween Baking Cups in muffin pans; set aside.

Prepare cake mix following package directions for 24 cupcakes. Spoon batter into baking cups.

Bake as directed. Cool.

Tint frosting with orange food color. Frost cupcakes; set aside.

Decorate with chocolate frosting or melted chocolate chips. Pipe chocolate in spiral pattern starting from cupcake center. Using a toothpick, start at center of cupcake and draw lines outward through frosting. To make spider, attach black string licorice legs to a large gumdrop by pushing licorice into gumdrop with a toothpick. Add orange frosting dots to gumdrop for eyes. Place spider on top of frosting web.
