Popiel machine

Misc.

Hi Risa,
I don't know if i can help or not but i do have the popiel and use it successfully.
I understand not useing egg or oil but i have not ever done that. Are you using a recipe for a no egg/oil pasta?? That could be part of the problem.

As my pasta comes form the machine i babysit it and kind of "play" with it as it passes by the fan area. Are you letting it pass by the little fan area?? this REALLY does make a difference. As it pass that spot i kinda stop it and let it spread a little -- i do not mean to stop the machine just kinda run my fingers around it at that point -- oh dear i'm afraid i am not being clear -- do you get what i mean? Oh and i use sissors to cut rather than the doo hicky that cuts it BEFORE it hits the fan I cut AFTER the fan.

I use the simola flour mostly too so that is not the problem but the eggs and oil ?? i don't know ...

good luck
