Recipe(tried): Neiman Marcus Cookies

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
Hi Meredith,

Here's a recipe from our archives. By the way the $250 story is a hoax but it's amazing how long this story has lived on. In any case, the cookie recipe is a good one.

Title: Recipe(tried): Mrs. Field's Cookies (aka Neiman Marcus Cookies)
Posted By: Shirley Kibler
Date: March 19th 1998
Board: recipelink.com Cooking Club

Cream together:
2 cups butter
2 cups white sugar
2 cups brown sugar
Add:
4 eggs
2 tblsp vanilla
Mix together:
4 cups all purpose flour
5 cups old fashioned style oatmeal
(put small amounts in blender & blend until powdered)
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
Mix all together and add:
24 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
1 - 8 oz Hershey Bar (grated)
3 cups chopped nuts (any kind)

Roll up in golf ball size. (I usually chill in refrig before baking) Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 2" apart at 375 for 16 minutes only.

Makes 112 cookies.

Happy Baking,

Betsy
